[Mad Mags]

Hallo,

Ende dieses Monats startet eine Webseite, die sich ganz und gar der "Phantastischen Filmliteratur" widmen wird - von Fanzines über professionelle Hochglanzmagazine, von Büchern über Pressehefte bis hin zu Postern und Lobbycards ist eigentlich alles dabei.

Die Seite wird auf deutsch und englisch angeboten werden und zur Zeit fehlen noch diverse Übersetzungen einiger Texte, damit das Projekt nicht halbfertig an den Start geht. Als das Projekt vor etwa drei Jahren in Angriff genommen wurde, gab es noch eine Handvoll ehrenamtlicher Dolmetscher, doch diese sind leider fast alle in den Tiefen des WWW auf Nimmerwiedersehen verschwunden  :icon_confused:

Wenn also jemand ein wenig seiner wertvollen Freizeit opfern würde, dann wäre das spitze. Interessenten an dieser Aufgabe können auch gerne vorher einen Blick drauf werfen. Antworten bitte hier im Thread, per PN oder per Mail an cl(@)grauen.de (freilich ohne die Klammern ums @ ;)).

Es geht noch immer um das oben genannte Projekt und ich benötige noch eine kleine Übersetzung. Vielleicht ist jemand so freundlich? Hier mal der Text:

So, heute nacht soll es soweit sein und das Projekt soll endlich starten. Mir fehlt allerdings noch eine kleine Übersetzung  :icon_redface:

Mad Mags - Fantastic Movie Magazines. Wirklich neu ist die Idee ja nicht, eine Webseite ganz und gar der Phantastischen Filmliteratur zu widmen. Bereits im Juni 2002 ging mit Grauen II eine kleine Webseite mit Filmrezensionen online, auf der sich eine noch viel kleinere Rubrik mit dem Titel Mad Mags versteckte - damals noch mit nicht viel mehr als einer Handvoll Filmmagazinen. Das Ganze war ziemlich chaotisch und wenig benutzerfreundlich gestaltet... so dass es kaum zu vermeiden war, die Literatur-Sparte auf eine eigene Webseite auszulagern.

Mad Mags entwickelte sich schon bald von einer kleinen Galerie, die nicht viel mehr als die Cover seltener Magazine präsentieren sollte, zu einem recht umfangreichen Projekt mit einigen Features wie dem Preisführer, das es vor allem für Sammler phantastischer Filmliteratur interessant machen sollte. Natürlich stehen wir noch am Anfang, erste Artikel sind verfasst, Quellenangaben verschiedener Filmschriften sind bereits verfügbar. Trotzdem hoffen wir natürlich, dass in naher Zukunft auch Personen auf diese Seite aufmerksam werden, die sich auch aktiv daran beteiligen wollen - sei es als Autor im angrenzenden Forum oder auch als Redakteur bei Mad Mags.

Wir hoffen, mit diesem Projekt ein wenig Licht in den Dschungel seltener, obskurer und oft auch hochpreisig gehandelter Publikationen zu bringen. Material gibt es genug zu entdecken und es dürfte sehr unwahrscheinlich sein, eines fernen Tages einmal einen vollständigen Überblick über die in der Vergangenheit veröffentlichten Filmschriften zu bekommen. Aber wir arbeiten daran...

However, the quantity of the sources of information sinks noticeably if you look especially for literature to the fantastic film. This fact originated the idea to close this gap with "Mad Mags - Fantastic Movie Magazines".

"Mad Mags" soon developed during the planning stage from a small gallery which should not point even more than the covers of rare magazines, to a rather extensive project with some features like the prize guide which should make it interesting for collectors of fantastic film literature. Of course we are still at the beginning, the first articles are written, references of some books, movie programs and fanzines are already available.

Nevertheless, we hope of course that in near future also persons become attentive to this website which also want to take part actively in it - for instance, as an author in the adjoining forum or as a "Mad Mags" editor. There are lots of materials to discover and it`s unlikely to get an ENTIRE overview about the film writings published in the last decades. But we work on it...

Kann eventuell mal jemand die englische Übersetzung querlesen? Es ist keine 1:1-Übersetzung, sondern eine leicht abgespeckte Variante des deutschen Textes. Mein Englisch ist mehr als nur eingerostet, daher sind wahrscheinlich mehr Fehler drin als bei einem kompletten Bethmann-Buch  :icon_lol:

Auch wenn du die korrigierte Version nicht übernehmen willst ... was du auf jeden Fall noch ändern solltest, ist das "sinks", was nicht vermindern oder zurückgehen, sondern eher untergehen bedeutet. ;)
