Von den Punisher-Comics hab ich jetzt zwar nur "Irisches Erbe" und "Oben ist Unten und Schwarz ist Weiß", aber Stevenson kommt dem dortigen Frank Castle dort wirklich am nächsten, wenngleich er auch ein wenig Ähnlichkeit mit dem Schurken aus dem Lundgren-Punisher hat, der von diesem Holländer gespielt wurde.

Danke! Ist 'n gutes Stück. Neben dem Metal-Teil hört sich das Ding wie der Main Theme von "Commando" an.

Ich muss sagen, so langsam gefällt mir Ray Stevenson in der Rolle des Punishers. Stevensons Mimik von Hass ist besser als die von Jane.

Mir gefallen alle Punishers! Nur warum hat der Punisher von 1989 das Markenzeichen, dieses Skull-Shirt, nicht? Für mit ein kleiner Minuspunkt, als ich den Film sah.

Jetzt muss nur noch der 5. Dezember eintrudeln.

Den neuen Trailer jetzt erst gesehen und mir gefallen beide "Punishers" bzw. alle drei. Dolph verköprt den totalen Comic, nicht ernstzunehmen und sehr spaßig-schlecht. Thomas Jane erinnerte mich an den neueren Punisher aus den Comics von Garth Ennis und Stevenson kommt dem Punisher aus der "War Zone" (weiß nicht in wie weit der Film mit der Story aus dem Comic zu tun hat) sehr sehr nahe.

Das Game habe ich vor Kurzem durchgezockt, hat höllischen Spaß gemacht.  :king: Die Grage ist, ob der Film auch mit dem im Spiel vorhandenen Humor aufwartet, weil es sonst eventuell grenzwertig werden könnte. Aber was ich bisher gesehen hab, war so over the top, dass ich das Spiel wirklich in filmischer Form wiedererkannt habe.

Kann mir einer sagen, welche von den aktuelleren (2003-jetzt) Punisher-Comics bisher die besten sind? Habe bisher nur drei davon (Witwenmacher; Irisches Erbe; Oben ist Unten und Schwarz ist Weiß)! Allerdings dann solche und nicht welche, wo er auf irgendwelche andere Marvel-Henis (z.B. Spiderman, Hulk) trifft.

There have been a lot of rumors swirling around Punisher: War Zone, many of them about friction between director Lexi Alexander and the suits at Lionsgate. One of the scarier rumors was that the studio wanted Lexi to deliver a PG-13 cut of the film; anyone who saw the red band footage that premiered at Comic Con knew that the likely only saving grace of this movie would be the extreme, hardcore violence.

Well, fret no more - the latest round of MPAA ratings are here and Punisher: War Zone gets the big red R for 'pervasive strong brutal violence, language and some drug use.' I would have liked to see titties mentioned in there, but I'll take bloody death by chair leg any day.

So that's out of the way. But keep in mind that Jonathan Hensleigh's bad Punisher got that same 'pervasive strong brutal violence' and that movie was a sissy version of Frank Castle. Still, what we've seen blows that film out of the water, violence-wise. The question remains as to whether this movie will be watchable in between the kills. (Chud.com)

Foto inner Mitte ist okay, aber dieser Rahmen aus Knarren schießt (haha, Wortspiel...) ein bisschen übers Ziel hinaus bzw. ist etwas zu mächtig! Wirklich einfallsreich kann man das Bildchen jedenfalls nicht nennen...

Achjo, red band Trailer gesehen. Der rockt die Scheisse weg, bin schon sehr auf den kompletten Film gespannt. Wenn der sich so halten sollte, dann alle Achtung und eine deutsche Uncut DVD sollte man sich wohl auch abschminken. Zum Release ist es zwar noch hin, aber selbst die Spio bekleckert sich momentan auch nicht grade mit Ruhm.....

FILM CLIP 3: "DESTROYED" erinnert total an die Szene in Batman, wo der Joker das erste mal sein Gesicht sieht. Nette Hommage.

Ich kann einfach nicht genug von diesem Trailer kriegen. Diese Mischung aus harter und reeller Action, aber gepaart mit dieser geilen Comic-Atmosphäre. Könnte der Oberknaller werden!

PS: Schon mal die US-unrated-DVD vormerken. Die sollte so sicher wie das Amen in der Kirche kommen. Bevor wir hier eine R-rated im Kino sehen, die zusätzlich noch entschärft wird...

Das könnte man glatt mit Zimmer, Badelt und Konsorten verwechseln, der Score von Siliotto war da wirklich einprägsamer.
Kann durchaus sein, daß es unter den Filmszenen trotzdem atmosphärisch wirkt, auf CD würde ich mir das aber nie anhören.

Punisher 1 hat mich doch positiv überrascht, mal schauen ob der 2. Teil auch so nett wird oder besser.

Naja Musik ist halt typisches Comicheldengeklimper, find ich aber nicht schlimm sondern Standard.

He goes on: "It looks great, it hurtles through its paces and is well-acted. The soundtrack is like elevator music if the elevator were in a death plunge. The special effects are state of the art. Its only flaw is that it's disgusting." Kyle Smith in the New York Post obviously thinks that Ebert gives the film far too much credit. "With its dopey fight scenes, grimy look and goopy gore, this movie is so far from ept that inept is the wrong word. It's anti-ept," he remarks. Elizabeth Weitzman in the New York Daily News goes further, saying that the movie "looks like it was made expressly to fill up discount bins." A.O. Scott in the New York Times writes that he sat through the film wonder, "What did I ever do to deserve this?" He's more specific: "Guys get their heads blown off, or severed, or pierced with chair legs, or pulverized with fists, because that's what they have coming and that's what the fan base will pay money to see. But does it have to be so witless, so stupid, so openly contemptuous of the very audience it's supposed to be pandering to?" But Peter Hartlaub in the San Francisco Chronicle insists the movie should go down well among those who "can appreciate the high level of gore and assorted sadistic weirdness." He observes that a relatively low budget "ensured that director Lexi Alexander was going to make a B movie, so she embraces its B-movie qualities and crafts a memorable piece of entertainment." And Ty Burr in the Boston Globe figures that the moviegoers who buy tickets for Punisher recognize that it exists "for the mayhem, not the characters. ... If most of the budget has gone to ordnance and blood squibs, director Lexi Alexander films the sprays of gore with an artisan's eye, and the results make effective if morally indefensible movie red meat."

Genau das sollte man als Pressestimme hinten auf die DVD packen, wer braucht bei so geiler Gore Werbung schon eine Inhaltsangabe...

Na dann will ich mal meine bescheidene Meinung hier schreiben.
Naja, gehypt wurde der Film ja schon im Vorfeld mit diesem doch sehr harten Trailer.
Leider kamen mir gerade die vom Trailer schon bekannten Szenen leicht abgemildert vor, als hätte man überall ein paar Frames weggelassen. Naja, die Unrated sollte dieses Manko ausbügeln.
Gewalt ist dennoch genügend vorhanden, die gezeigte Gewalt ist deftig und dreckig, so wie man es erwartet.
Sehr schön.
Die begrenzte Mimik von Ray Stevenson paßt zum Punisher, da mag ich mich garnicht darüber beschweren.
Wäre ja noch schöner, wenn es da auf einmal Charaktertiefe gäbe.  ;)
Der Actionanteil ist ordentlich, jedoch schleichen sich doch ein paar Hänger ein, bei denen man doch lieber vorspulen würde.
Nun das Negative:
Die New Yorker Gangsterbosse und Schergen benehmen sich wie Al Pacino in Scarface nach einer Überdosis LSD und Ecstasy.
Unglaublich dieses bescheuerte Overacting, das ging mir schon in den ersten paar Minuten auf den Zeiger.

LEICHTE SPOILER AHEAD!!!
1. Ich will keinen Punisher mit ner Kuscheldecke im Stuhl sitzen sehen, wenn er sich ausruht, juckt keine Sau und wirkt lächerlich.
2. Er hat zuviele Helfer. Insgesamt sind es fünf (5!!!!).
3. Der Kampf mit Jigsaws Bruder in der Toilette baut die Stimmung zwischen den beiden saugut auf. Wieso endet er dann am Ende des Films nur mit einer Kugel im Kopf? Wo ist der finale Kampf? Schon bißchen lasch.
4. Er latscht seelenruhig mit gefühlten fünfzehn Waffen am Körper sichtbar durch die Stadt, um dann in der U-Bahn zu verschwinden. Hallo? Sag mal gehts noch?  :icon_eek:
5. Und wieso zur Hölle wurde von der Kanalisation zur U-Bahn gewechselt? Tsk tsk tsk, grober Fehler meiner Meinung nach.
6. Manche Spezialeffekte (der Typ der im Sprung getroffen wird) sind schon kotzübel schlecht geworden. Auweiah.
7. Er schlägt sich mit dem FBI-Typen den Schädel für fünf Minuten ein, beide stehen noch. Später reicht dann ein Hieb, um ihn bewußtlos zu schlagen.  :00000109:
8. Wo ist sein Fortbewegungsmittel? Motorrad? Auto? Der Punisher geht heutzutage wohl zu Fuß.  :icon_rolleyes:
9. Die ganzen Banden in dem verlassenen Hotel werden viel zu wenig gezeigt, da hätte es mehr Tote geben müssen.
10. Als die Russen warten, um in das Hotel zu gehen, sieht es aus als hätte die Einwanderungsbehörde ein Schiff von Kuba abgefangen.  :LOL:

Dummerweise mag ich aber Hirnlos-Action doch zu sehr, um mich von diesen Argumenten zu sehr runterziehen zu lassen.
Der Film bietet hirnlose Action, beschissene Schauspieler und nen sehr hohen Gewaltanteil.
Danke, reicht dann bei mir doch für 6/10 Punkten.
(Falls die Unrated wirklich expliziter sein sollte, wird er wohl auf 7/10 hochgestuft.)
