Auf der first-quarter earnings conference von "Warner Bros. Discovery" hat CEO David Zaslav (laut HollywoodReporter.com (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/new-lord-of-the-rings-movies-2026-peter-jackson-1235894513/)) heute bekannt gegeben, dass die Firma dabei ist, neue "Herr der Ringe"-Filme anzugehen: "...now in the early stages of script development" for new Lord of the Rings movies ... which he says they "anticipate releasing in 2026" and will "explore storylines yet to be told."

Peter Jackson und seine langjährigen Co-Autoren Fran Walsh und Philippa Boyens werden voll involviert sein - und das 1. konkrete Projekt soll ein Gollum-Spinoff werden: Andy Serkis is set to both star in and direct a new Lord of the Rings movie centring around Gollum, with Peter Jackson producing.

Ich erwarte nicht die Magie, die die Jackson-Trilogie damals mitgebracht hat sowie den Charme eines big budget-Indies, diese Zeiten sind vorbei. Vielleicht kommt ja wenigstens was halbwegs brauchbares raus, mit bisserl Herz und Seele, aber so recht mag ich da nicht dran glauben, dafür hat die Der Hobbit-Trilogie schon zu generisch angemutet.

Wenn du von der Kuh auch noch möglichst die Seele ausschlachten willst, weil vom Fleisch nichts mehr übrig ist...  :frech3:
