'Night of the Living Dead' Remake Finished? In 3-D?!
Here's some interesting news that's sure to piss a lot of poeple off. Fangoria has learned that Midnight Movies Entertainment and Lux Digital Pictures GmbH are in the final stages of postproduction on Night of the Living Dead 3D, a new motion picture inspired by the 1968 George A. Romero classic. Exploiting the film's reputed public-domain status and the recent explosion in zombie flicks, 'Night of the Living Dead 3D' shot in and around locations in Los Angeles last summer under the direction of Jeff Broadstreet, helmer of the indie films 'Sexbomb' and 'Dr. Rage'. Robert Valding penned the update, which reportedly uses the original film more as a jumping-off point than 1990's faithful Tom Savini-directed version. Bei mir hat der Trailer auch nicht richtig funktioniert.
Zu Film selbst weiß ich rein gar nichts - hab heute das erste Mal überhaupt davon gehört!
Ich schätze aber mal, daß er DTV geht...
Die Homepage und der Trailer (hab ihn nicht ganz schauen können, auch bei mir kackt es ab :icon_confused:) sehen igendwie herrlich nach Oldschool aus. Unter "release infos" steht nur "coming soon".
Der gute alte Sid Haig den man auch schon aus House of 1000 Corpses und anderen Filmen kennt, ist auch mit von der Partie.
Ausserdem spielen noch ein paar richtig heisse Ischen mit :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
Aber nach 3D sieht der Trailer nicht unbedingt aus...
der trailer lief ohne probleme... aber in 3d hab ich da auch nix gesehen... und die 3d gallery gibt auch noch nix her....
ist das das offizielle remake??? oder einfach nur ein neuaufguss der alten story?

Da "Night of the living Dead" von den Rechten her einen "public-domain"-Status besitzt, gibt es keine "offizielle" oder "inoffizielle" Remakes, sondern nur Remakes an sich.
The 3D Gallery on the Official Website for NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 3D is now up and they will be posting more 3D stills over the next month. And for those horror fans who don't already have 3D glasses, they will be announcing in the next couple of weeks how horror fans can win free 3D glasses!

Toll, so eine Brille kostet ungefähr nen Euro... oder man bestellt sich für 2 Euro den Film the Park, da is auch ne Brille dabei.
Naja, mal schauen wie der Film wird. Bin auch gespannt ob der komplett in 3D sein wird oder obs immer nur kurze Sequenzen sind. So ein Film komplett in 3D... :arrow: "Hallo liebe Kopfschmerzen" :algo: ;)
'Night of the Living Dead 3D' Gets Theatrical Date
We've been informed that Night of the Living Dead 3D will open in limited theatrical release on March 17 (moved from January 27) and the film will then continue to roll out across the country in select markets. The move was necessary to accommodate the 3D post production and the addition of several CG visual effects shots. In addition, seven more 3D stills have been added to the 3D photo gallery on the official website (you'll need glasses, the red lens goes over the right eye). "Night of the Living Dead 3D" stars Sid Haig ("House of 1000 Corpses"), Brianna Brown (HBO's "Entourage"), Greg Travis (Tobe Hooper's "Mortuary") and newcomer Joshua DesRoches. The film is a Lux Digital Pictures and Midnight Movies presentation and is a production from director Jeff Broadstreet's new genre company, The HorrorWorks. In the original a group of people hide from bloodthirsty zombies in a farmhouse.

'Night of the Living Dead 3-D' Postponed
I thought something was up when I was carousing through the official website for Jeff Broadstreet's upcoming remake Night of the Living Dead 3-D and couldnt find anything about the March 17th release. Today Fangoria got word from Jeff, "We are not releasing the film on March 17, due to a couple of issues, the CG visual effects have taken longer than expected to finish, and we also had a technical problem on the 3-D postproduction end of things that cost us a couple of weeks. So we are now looking at a fall release—probably mid-September, but I don't have an exact date yet." In the original a group of people hide from bloodthirsty zombies in a farmhouse.

Hab den Trailer eben gesehen. Der Kerl weiter oben aufm Foto sieht ja verdächtig nach dem Captain Spaulding aus von den Rob Zombie Filmen!!! Trailer konnt ich abgehackt sehen, sieht aber echt ganz interessant aus. Solange er nicht so übel wie das Remake von Savini wird.
ich fand das savini remake super... aner bei geschmack etc pp...
solang es kein billiger schmand wird, der ausschliesslich von seinen 3d effekten lebt wird, ist mir alles recht...

Der wurde wohl auf DV gedreht, deshalb der Look.

Ich habe den Film gesehen und kann nur JEDEM strikt vom Kauf abraten. :nono: Sid Haig alias Cpt. Spaulding spielt nur eine kleine Rolle und kann die Katastrophe nicht abwenden. Das Remake ist der purste Schrott, bloß nicht kaufen bitte!!! Hab auch schon eine Besprechung in die OFDb gestellt um möglichst viele Leute zu warnen - ganz ganz schlimmer Film mit noch schlimmerer Optik und Kopfschmerzverursachenden 3-D Effekten.
Wäre Romero tot, er würde sich im Grabe umdrehen :icon_evil:

Nur als kleiner Hinweis denn eingehen wollte ich auf diese Provokation eigentlich nicht: Lasse mich nicht gerne ungerechtfertigt irgendwelcher Verbrechen beschuldigen. Ich denke das jeder Leute im Bekanntenkreis hat, die Filme saugen und ich bin froh das ich den hier angesprochenen Schrottfilm durch diese Umstände nicht kaufen musste um ihn (einmal und NIE wieder) zu sehen.

Hatte den Trailer vorher nicht gesehen und auch sonst nichts über den Film gehört, ansonsten hätte ich ihn mir wohl auch gespart. Wer nur den Trailer kennt hat nichts verpasst, ich betone es immer gerne wieder.
Tja, zu diesem Machwerk gibbet nun ein Prequel, das die Welt nicht braucht(e) - von denselben Machern, "aber immerhin" mit Jeffrey Re-Animator Combs und Andrew Wishmaster Divoff...

Naja, so schlecht sieht der Teaser dann doch nicht aus und da ich das 3D Remake mir immer noch nicht angesehen habe (das 3D Bild kam einfach nur schlecht rüber bei mir, da habe ich ihn schnell wieder ausgemacht) und ich das grauenhaft mislungene Day Remake ertragen habe, so schlimm kann er dann auch nicht sein, mal abwarten, vielleicht was für's FFF im nächsten Jahr...

Also das beste am Poster sind echt die beiden coolen Typen, der/die Trailer ... schon ziemlich cheesy, aber könnte durchaus für 1 x gucken annehmbar werden. Wäre da nicht schon wieder dieser Titel ...
Sieht so aus, als ob er zumindestens auf der Trashskala einen kleinen Ausschlag verzeichnen könnte...
Bin auch gespannt darauf. Jeffrey Combs und Andrew Divoff mal wieder zu sehen ist doch was schönes! :D Und den "Vorgänger" fand ich persönlich gar nicht soooo mies. Hab ihn jetzt erst auf BD gesehen und fand ihn zwar alles andere als gut (vor allem der 3D-Effekt ist, selbst für anaglyph-Technik, ziemlich mäßig), aber so ein paar nette Szenen hatte er doch zu verzeichnen und Sid Haig hat das Ganze noch leicht aufgewertet. Bin da so bei 5/10
