"Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome" takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful Battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly find himself at odds with Coker (Ben Cotton), the battle-weary officer to whom he reports. With 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine mission turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.

Joining Pasqualino and Cotton in the cast is Lili Bordan, who will play Dr. Beka Kelly, a Ph.D. who worked for Graystone Industries that created the Cylon robots. Currently assigned to a secret military mission, Beka and Adama quickly establish a rapport.

na steht doch da... ist ein 90 Min. Pilotfilm... und Pilotfilm macht man meist, um eine Serie anschließen zu lassen  :respekt:  Hoffentlich ist die schon genehmigt....

Hmmm ich finde die Geschichte ist zu Ende erzählt worden und irgendwie bedarf es keiner Prequel mehr.... :andy:
Aber vielleicht hab ich auch zu lange kein BSG mehr geguckt... :icon_redface:

Ah, thx, ich war verwirrt, weil es in der englischen Wikipedia als TV-Movie kategorisiert ist.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome Won't go to Series at Syfy

Following this morning's debut of the first trailer for Syfy's two-hour "Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome," Deadline is reporting that, while the network will still air the pilot as a special, Syfy has elected not to go forward with the show as an ongoing televised series. They may, however, return to the notion of developing "Blood & Chrome" as it was originally conceived: as a webseries. Syfy president Mark Stern issued the following statement:

"We are actively pursuing it as was originally intended: a groundbreaking digital series that will launch to audiences beyond the scope of a television screen. The 90-minute pilot movie will air on Syfy in its entirety at a future date. Our enthusiasm for this ambitious project has not waned."

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome Premiering Online This Friday

The long awaited prequel to "Battlestar Galactica," "Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome" is almost here and it's going to start much sooner than you would expect. What was originally a two-hour pilot, that wasn't picked up for series, will now be presented online as ten 7-12 minute webisodes through Machinima's YouTube channel (via EW). The first episode of the series will be online this Friday, November 9, with the rest of the episodes set to premiere in the next four weeks. The original pilot will air on the Syfy network in early 2013 with an unrated DVD release expected to follow.
