Charlie says (über Manson und seine Girls)

American Psycho director Mary Harron and the film's co-writer Guinevere Turner have reunited for Charlie Says, a movie primarily centered on the three "Manson Family" women who were sentenced to death in Charles Manson's infamous murder case. IFC has acquired the U.S. rights to the film, with a planned theatrical and VOD release on May 10, 2019.

Matt Smith ("Doctor Who") plays Charles Manson in the film, and we've got your first look courtesy of the official trailer today. The film promises to present "a provocative new perspective on one of the most notorious crimes of the 20th century."

Chace Crawford plays Manson family member Tex Watson and Sosie Bacon is Patricia Krenwinkel. "The X-Files" star Annabeth Gish plays Virginia Carlson, head of the California Institute for Women. The cast also includes Suki Waterhouse, along with Hannah Murray, Odessa Young, Marianne Rendon, Carla Gugino, Kaylie Carter and Merritt Wever.

Dem Spinner wird mMn etwas zuviel Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet... Aber dass der von Matt Smith gespielt werden soll, macht es für mich erstmal wieder etwas interessant, zum einen mag ich den sehr (einer meiner liebsten Doctors) und kann es mir nicht so ganz vorstellen, traue es ihm aber zu. Da muss ich dann wohl meine Abscheu vor diesem Stück Dreck etwas runterfahren, mal sehen...

Bei True Crime bin ich immer dabei, auch wenn ich nicht wüsste ob man da noch so viel Neues erzählen kann.

Sieht jetzt nicht wirklich gut aus. Dazu finde ich es amüsant, wie Smith (1,82m) Manson (1,57m) spielt. Das ist schon wirklich lachhaft. Man muss ihn nicht immer größer machen als er war und das meine ich in jeglicher Hinsicht. Das Ding ist durch und es gibt wirklich genug schwache Manson-Verfilmungen. Sehe gerade, dass Tarantino Damon Herriman für Manson gecastet hat. Das sieht vielversprechend aus.
