Produced by Sam Raimi, Iris K. Shim's supernatural horror movie Umma (Korean for "mother") is being released by Sony on March 18, 2022.

Umma follows Sandra Oh as Amanda, living a quiet life with her daughter (Fivel Stewart) on an American farm. But when the remains of her estranged mother arrive from Korea, Amanda becomes haunted by the fear of turning into her own mother. The cast also includes Dermot Mulroney, Odeya Rush, MeeWha Alana Lee and Tom Yi.

Iris K. Shim wrote the script and directed Umma.

Ich mag Sandra Oh nicht... der Trailer sieht nicht sonderlich aufregend aus.
Ich verzeichte mal.

Ich hab auch gewisse Schwierigkeiten, mich von ihrem "Greys Anatomy" - Charakter Christina zu lösen, der mich 8 Jahre schwer genervt hat. Thematisch interessant, aber der steht wirklich nicht an erster Stelle bei mir.
