Selbst für die USA ist nur das Jahr 2005 als Starttermin angegeben.

Also steht ein deutscher Termin noch in sehr weiter Ferne.

Das kann man so nicht sagen, nehmen wir an der Film wird zur Zeit gedreht, was ja auch der fall ist; wenn er nicht schon längst fertig ist...
dann kommt der Januar 2005 in Amerika in die Kinos und Dezember 2005 dann nach Deutschland. Also ich rechne schon noch mit 2005 Starttermin in deutschland.
Das war ein Extrembeispiel mit Januar und Dezember; von meinem Freund (der ist ein wahres Filmgenie) weiß ich, dass es in der Regel nur so ca. 6 Monate dauert, bis ein Film den großen Teich rübergeschwommen ist!

Sin City ist wohl mit der genialste, düsterste und abgefuckteste Comic den es gibt...
Wenn Rodriguez die Verfilmung versaubeutelt erwürge ich ihn glaube ich eigenhändig...
Die Besetzung klingt jedenfalls schonmal vielversprechend, auch wenn ich nicht weiss wie Elijah Wood da hineinpasst...
Mickey Rourke als Marv ist dafür aber die Optimalbesetzung (auch wenn Marv im Comic eher ein riesiger Schrank ist).

Am Besten passt immer noch Bruce Willis in die Besetzungslisten, allein wegen diesem Super Actionstar, wird der Film garantiert kein Flop. Der ist der Beste!

Ich glaube Du kennst den Comic nicht oder? Bruce Willis fehlt einfach die miese, verlebte und vernarbte Schläger-/Killer-/Zuhälter-Fresse für diese Rolle... (sorry für die Ausdrucksweise)... Rourke passt da schon ganz gut... Cooles Poster übrigens!!!

Hast Recht, ich kenn den Comic nicht, aber mein Lieblingsschauspieler ist Bruce Willis, aber das ist ja die Kunst der Schauspielerrei, jemand ganz anderes zu spielen als man selbst ist.

SIN CITY: Uh.........oh my bloody, bloody, bloody hell. WOW. Rodriguez was funny to listen to because he is so into this material and obviously is giving Hollywood the finger whenever he can. He repeated over and over and over and over and over and over (10 more overs) that he wanted to make Frank Miller's movie, not change it. The clips were breath-taking and original and WOW. The character sketches interspersed with movie characters were just perfect. In this flick I LOVE Alba with all of my heart. I now love Rosario Dawson who looked perfect beyond all the other perfects and Benecio and Bruce (Willis) and the lot of them. I am in love. I can't say enough sincerely good things about what were were shown and what we heard. My little geek friends (fellow geeks) of all ages and various levels of comic interest (from freakish devotee to non-readers) all had similar reactions. TO me, this kicked Star Wars in the ass. IT was the absolute opposite of the 2 hour Star Wars commercial. Speak of the devil...

Anyone who knows anything about Robert Rodriguez or Frank Miller can tell you that the pair, in there own separate mediums, are innovative rebels unwilling to compromise their visions for mass consumption. Thankfully, in collaborating with one another, compromising was never an issue that needed to be explored as was proved today when they presented a ten-minute rough cut of their film Sin City, which is based directly on Miller's comic books of the same name, to 6500 lucky attendees at the San Diego Comic Convention.

When all was said and done, viewers were left with little doubt that Miller's spectacular style translates well into motion picture. Do take into account that Sin City is not a Hollywood movie, but instead a flawlessly crafted reenactment of the tomes that inspired it. The preview itself, based on the short story "The Customer's Always Right", was virtually a frame-by-frame study on Miller's layouts. This was a huge sigh of relief for fans who doubted that the film could flow with the same rhythm readers have grown to appreciate.

Rodriguez, as it turns out, was not the first filmmaker to approach Miller about adapting Sin City, but after being burned by Hollywood more than once Miller was not eager to put his baby into the hands of a studio that would water down everything that made the book so intoxicating for readers. Thanks to his tenacity however, Rodriguez was able to bend Miller's ear just enough to convince him to give it a shot, and with that the film was unofficially in production.

Pulling in a favour from actor Josh Hartnett, who starred in the director's underrated film "The Faculty," Rodriguez pushed out a rough cut to show Miller what Sin City could be. Needless to say, that's all it took. Very quickly, other names came up, including Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Benicio Del Toro, Jessica Alba, and Rosario Dawson; and in all cases the actors were very excited to be a part of the film.

Though not as recognizable as other comic book-cum-movie currently making headlines, Sin City is the most faithfully executed adaptation. In addition to the dialog, which is almost word for word, Sin City is full of perfectly cast characters that, through the used of prosthetics where needed, interact perfectly with digital sets behind them.

From what was shown, Rodriguez and Miller have created a film with such amazing visual design that it was no surprise the all-star ensemble cast jumped at the chance to work on the ground-breaking project. From the scar on Hartigan's (Willis) forehead, to Gail's (Dawson) costume, to Marv's (Rourke) excessive use of bandaids (read the book), Sin City took the ball and ran with it. Anyone doubting this needs to see nothing more than the Yellow Bastard played by Nick Stahl compared to the comic version to see this is perfect.

The film, for the most part is a combination of three Sin City books: 'The Hard Good Bye' (renamed from simply 'Sin City'), The Big Fat Kill, and That Yellow Bastard. Even though the film has to be cut down to flow as one feature film,  Rodriguez promises that the DVD will also feature the complete, longer versions of each story.

Rodriguez, who credits Miller's visual style in the comic as relevant as his own in the film, insisted that Miller receive a "co-director" credit with him. The Directors' Guild of America would not allow it. As a result, Rodriguez resigned from the DGA, saying "It was easier for me to quietly resign before shooting because otherwise I'd be forced to make compromises I was unwilling to make or set a precedent that might hurt the guild later on." Unfortunately, by resigning from the DGA, Rodriguez was also forced to relinquish his director's seat on the film Princess of Mars, A (2006) for Paramount. Rodriguez had already signed-on and been announced as director of that film when the DGA situation took place, planning to begin filming soon after wrapping this film.

wer die comics noch nicht kennt, sofort bei carlsen die teile 1- 7 und bei schreiber und leser die teile 8-12 ordern...aber ich befürchte die ersten bönde sind schon oop!!!!
