ich meine es wird doch auch ein Remake geben vom Day, hab da nen paar Infos gefunden, eventuell weiss ja der ein oder andere auch noch ein bischen was dazu:

- It's said that Bub will be in the film, and we can expect to see a military facility with soldiers, scientists and civilians, staying true to the original.
- It's safe to assume that original creator George Romero will have nothing to do with this film.
- Emmett/Furla Films are also working on the Wicker Man and Terror Train remakes.
- Producer James Dudelson also produced and directed the unrelated Day of the Dead 2: Contagium.
- The producers will by Avi Lerner, Randall Emmett and James Dudelson.
- Produced by Nu Image/Millennium Films, which will distribute the movie with Emmett/Furla Films and Taurus Entertainment.
- A remake of the original 1985 Romero film.

Glücklicherweise wird Dudelson nur als Produzent gelistet weil seine Firma die Namensrechte an
DAY OF THE DEAD hat. Ähnlich sieht es bei dem Remake von CREEPSHOW aus.

Hauptverantwortliche sind unsere Freunde von NU IMAGE/MILLENNIUM FILMS;

Seit einiger Zeit gibt's schon weitere Infos zum DAY OF THE DEAD Remake:

Scripter Jeffrey Reddick spoke with Coming Soon.net about his various projects, one of which was this film. In it he explains how this will be a seperate movie and not be a direct sequel to Dawn of the Dead (2004). Here's more of what he had to say: "We wanted to pay homage to the original with the military and the scientists and the socially relevant stuff that George Romero always does, but we wanted to put a fresh spin on it. There will be similarities, but there'll be differences as well that I think fans will hopefully dig. Steve Miner is directing, which I'm really excited about."

Bin ja mal gespannt, wie das wird.

Irgendwie komisch, dass man sich dann die ersten 3 Teile
komplett als Remakes ansehen kann.. ob es wohl hinhaut,
wenn man sich danach Land of the Dead ansieht?

Today Bloody-Disgusting received word from a very reliable source that Ving Rhames has been cast in the film, specifically to link the film to Uni's Dawn remake. In addition, Mira Sorvino (Mimic) will be joining him. The film will be shooting in or around Bulgaria or Romania this month. Steve Miner directs off a script by Jeffrey Redd|ick (Tamara).

The original follows a group of scientists and military personnel holed up in an underground bunker because the world above is overrun with zombies. The lumbering flesheaters eventually find a way in and wreak havoc on the scientists who've been experimenting on their undead brethren.

Stimmt. Und die Frage der Zeit wurde auch schon 2mal beantwortet: Einmal 1990 und einmal 2006.
Es empfiehlt sich halt immer, zumindest ein paar der anderen Beiträge zu lesen, bevor man seinen

Ich beneide dich wegen deinem letzten Satz, da ist dir movax jetzt aber ne Entschuldigung schuldig, bei dem Remake ist es bestimmt besser nichts von gehört zu haben ;)

Wurde Zack Snyder nicht angeboten auch das Remake von Day of the Dead zu drehen ? Mit Dawn of the Dead hatte er meiner Meinung nach gute Arbeit geleistet. Hätte mich jedenfalls gefreut. Hoffentlich werden neben Rhames noch andere Gesichter aus dem DotD Remake zu sehen sein, nachdem schon Rhames dabei sein soll.

Das ist die Sache, die Romero damals in der Trilogie betont hatte, die Hauptcharaktere sind die Zombies. Mit der neuen Trilogie die mit Land gestartet wurde (und hoffentlich gut weitergeht) ist der Ansatz anders und das Wiederauftauchen von Charakteren ist möglich - warten wir es ab...

Ach, Mensch ... es kommt doch wohl darauf an, wie das in die Story integriert wird. Tom Savini tauchte auch in Romeros Trilogie mehr als einmal auf - und trotzdem ist da kein riesiger Bogen zwischen den Filmen in Bezug auf direkte Anschlüsse. Wenn die Handlung der des Originals gleicht (Militär, Bunker etc), kann man imo nicht von einer Mogelpackung sprechen, selbst wenn Ving ne größere Rolle hätte. Ich sehe auch nicht, ehrlich gesagt, wo das Problem dabei wäre. ;)

Fangoria got an update from screenwriter Jeffrey Reddick on cast reports that have surfaced elsewhere for the Day of the Dead remake, which begins shooting July 23 for Millennium Films and Emmet/Furla Films. Ving Rhames toplines the movie, though not, as has been speculated elsewhere, in a role carrying over from his lead in 2004's Dawn of the Dead redux; instead, Reddick reveals to Fango that he'll play Captain Rhodes, the role memorably essayed by Joseph Pilato in George A. also ich freue mich (bisher) noch auf das Remake. Wenn es in die gleiche Richtung geht wie das DAWN Remake oder LAND OF... erwartet uns auf jeden Fall ein geiler Film!!!

Und, ..., hey, ..., immerhin wäre das die ERSTE Trilogie, die von allen drei Teilen ein Remake erhalten hat!!! Ist doch auch mal was Nettes. :o) Denn DAS hat nich ma ein Spielberg bisher geschafft. ;o)

'Day of the Dead' Remake Spoiler Madness

I've seen spoilers in my days, I mean we posted a picture of Freddy decapitated on the first week of shooting Freddy vs Jason, but this is one helluva a scoop. It's nothing visual, but I will tell you that it will really, really piss some of you off. Where are my thoughts on this "new" zombie in the Day of the Dead remake?
