Es wäre echt wünschenswert wenn die Serie weitergehen würde, denn Futurama ist einfach nur genial :!:  :respekt:
Für mich mittlerweile auch besser als die Simpons!

Aber leider wurde Futurama glaube ich doch eingestellt :cry:  :x

Nur um ein paar Sachen klarzustellen:
Pro7 hat die 4.Staffel komplett ausgestrahlt! Nur die 5. und letzte Staffel lief bei uns noch nicht.
Und: Futurama ist natürlich längst eingestellt worden. Dadurch, dass das Ganze dann etwas dauert, bis die letzten Folgen auslaufen, und vor allem, bis diese Folgen dann mal zu uns nach Deutschland durchdringen, haben manche hier wohl gedacht, die Serie wäre noch am Leben... Tja, schön wärs...   :(
Es gab höchstens mal Spekulationen über einen Futurama-Kinofilm. Das sind aber nicht mehr als Gerüchte bis jetzt...

Um es deutlich zu sagen wurde Futurama eingestellt, weil der Ausstrahlungstermin der Episoden in den USA immer wieder verschoben wurde, so dass man der Annahme war, dass Fox kein besonderes Interesse an Futurama mehr hat.
Außerdem gibt es keine 5. Staffel. Die 4. Staffel ist die letzte Staffel.
Es gibt aber noch aus den ersten Staffeln um die 20 Episoden, die noch nie ausgestrahlt wurden, die dann zu einer sogenannten "5. Staffel" zusammengestellt wurden.

Okay, stimmt so natürlich.
Ich hab mich halt auf die Fernsehausstrahlungen bezogen, nach denen das Ganze in 5 Staffeln eingeteilt ist. Auch die üblichen Episodenführer richten sich ja nach dieser Austrahlungsreihenfolge...
Produktionscode- und DVD-technisch gesehen sind es dann aber nur 4 Staffeln, jup...

Ich wunder mich auch grade ein bisschen. Ich find die Box nicht bei Amazon, nicht in der Releaseliste vom Inside und auch nicht auf der Fox Seite was ist passiert?

So ich kram den alten Thread mal raus. Mittlerweile ist es ja gut ein Jahr her, seit die Season 3 rauskam (Anfang September). Ist mittlerweile mal irgendwann bekannt gegeben worden, wann die 4. und letzte Box in Deutschland erscheint??

Ob du es nun glaubst oder nicht, aber es soll schon einige Leute geben die bereits alle drei Staffeln einzeln im Schrank stehen haben und deshalb die komplette Box nicht brauchen! :mrgreen:  :wink:

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment have announced a complete collection of "Futurama" priced at £79.99. The release set for the 25th October features more than 25 hours of viewing pleasure! (Note although there was a season 5 broadcast, all episodes where produced for either season 3 or 4 and appear in those sets here.

Created by the multi-award winning team of Matt Groening (creator of The Simpsons) and David X. Cohen, Futurama welcomes you to the world of tomorrow, New New York City, a future beyond your wildest imagination! Fry (voiced by Billy West) is a 25 year old pizza delivery boy whose life is going nowhere. But after accidentally freezing himself on New Year's Eve 1999, Fry awakens in the year 3000 with the chance to make a new life for himself.

He goes to work for his one surviving relative, Professor Hubert Farnsworth, at Planet Express, an intergalactic delivery service that transports packages to all the corners of the universe. Tagging along with Fry on these action-packed missions is Leela (voiced by Katey Sagal), a beautiful one-eyed starship captain whose kung-fu expertise saves the day more than once (despite her depth perception problems!).
