"Gone Baby Gone" is Ben Affleck's directorial debut and is based on the novel from the acclaimed author of "Mystic River." It is an intense look inside an ongoing investigation about the mysterious disappearance of a little girl. Two young private detectives (Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan) are hired to take a closer look at the case and soon discover that nothing is what it seems. Ultimately, they will have to risk everything -- their relationship, their sanity, and even their lives -- to find a little girl-lost. The film also stars Academy Award Winner Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby") and Academy Award Nominee Ed Harris ("Pollack").

Gerade gesehen und ganz großes Kino!
Auch wenn die Story teilweise etwas unrealistisch wirkt, ist der Film unglaublich Emotional, hochgradig gut gespielt und das Ende gibt mir wirklich zu denken!

Auch vor kurzem gesehen, meine Begeisterung hält sich allerdings in Grenzen. Casey Afflecks Figur ist blass und irgendwie uninteressant. Völlig unglaubwürdig ist der Umstand, dass ihm aus der "Hinrichtung" (ich will jetzt nicht zu viel spoilern) scheinabr gar keine Konsequenzen erwachsen. Das Ende ist nicht so nachdenklich und überraschend, wie es den Anschein erwecken will. Schließlich haben die Beteiligten neben der Entführung noch ein paar andere Verbrechen auf dem Kerbholz.

Überschätzt; 5,5 Punkte

(B. Affleck ist mir trotzdem als Regisseur erheblich lieber, wie als Schauspieler. Die Probleme liegen hier klar beim Drehbuch).
