Ist hier in Deutschland schon die längere/alternative Fassung in die Kinos gekommen? Dieser ofdb-Eintrag bezgl. Freigabe (stimmt ungeprüft? FSK-Online listet bisher in der Tat keine Kennzeichnung) und die Länge deuten zumindest darauf hin.

Also ich hab die HongKong DVD und werd mir die mal am Wochenende mal endlich ansehen.Bin ja mal gespannt auch wenn ich von frau Buffy nicht besonders viel halte aber es wird mal interresant sein was die Amis da wieder verbockt haben und ob das genauso grauselig wird wie bei THE RING.

Ich finde das ist ein gelungenes Remake - [hide]ich habe mich genauso gelangweilt wie beim Original w-)

Nur die Geller hat gestört, das Remake macht eigentlich keinen Sinn, ausser, dass man versucht mit ihrem Namen Leute in's Kino zu locken, hat ja auch geklappt, weil ja der Durchschnittsami sich nichts nicht-Amerikanisches reinziehen will... Für uns reicht das Original, wem's gefällt gut, die Stimmung des Films ist gut und spannend, aber die Story ist extrem minimal (imho)[/hide]

War nun auch gerade in "The Grudge" und bin soweit ganz zufrieden gewesen. Zwar gibt es wirklich kaum irgendwelche Neuerungen, die Story ist natürlich auch hier wieder mega-dünn, dafür hat Regisseur Shimizu seinen Mega-Grusler (bin immer noch der Meinung, dass "Ju-On: The Grudge" einer der gruseligsten Japan-Schocker überhaupt ist) ganz gut fürs westliche Kino adoptiert. Die Schockeffekte sind wieder einmal bestens ausgearbeitet worden, vor allem in punkto Sound. Es war jedenfalls herrlich mit anzusehen, wie die ganzen Mädels (und auch Jungs) im Saal, sich ein ums andere Mal fast eingemacht haben, vor erschrecken. :mrgreen:

Die Darsteller waren zudem ebenfalls recht gut gewählt worden, vor allem die Gellar hat doch einiges drauf gehabt (zumindest meiner Meinung nach w-) ).

Wer das Original kennt wird sich zwar weitaus weniger gruseln, doch wer ohne Vorkenntnisse da rein geht, der kann sich sicher auf schlaflose Nächte freuen.

Ich gebe 7/10 Punkte!

Hmmm. Das mit der Freigabe ist wirklich ein wenig verwunderlich. Allerdings lassen alle Kino-Programmflyer, die ich bis jetzt in den Händen gehalten habe (UFA, UCI, Cinemaxx), darauf schliessen, dass der Film FSK 16 ist! Was die Lauflänge anbelangt, kann ich allerdings auch nichts genaueres sagen. Da hab ich nicht drauf geachtet. Allerdings soll er auch laut TV Spielfilm ca. 96 Minuten gehen! Vielleicht haben ja wirklich mal Glück, wobei mir allerdings keine sonderlichen Gore-Effekte o.Ä. aufgefallen sind!

War ganz jut, kann man sich anschauen. Die Schockeffecte haben meines Erachtens nicht so reingehauen. Und wer sagt das der Pullman ne Fehlbesetzung ist, den kann ich absolut nicht verstehen!! Wie lange war der im Film zu sehen? 4-5 Minuten?!

Außerdem frage ich mich was an dem Film geschnitten worden sein soll?! Wenn überhaupt doch nur etwas an Handlung.

Die Gore-Szenen sind leicht geschnitten worden. Ist aber nicht viel.

Ok, FSK-online listet mittlerweile doch The Grudge, 92min, FSK16. Damit dürfte o.g. ofdb Eintrag falsch sein.

Auf Bloody Disgusting werden die Zusatz-Szenen der Japan-Fassung beschrieben. Hoffe mal diese Version kommt auf DVD in Deutschland raus.

1. After Bill Pullman's Death we Focus on his dead face and the eyeball on the pavement has slightly popped out looking like a white gum drop.

2. The Old senile lady when she meets Yoko (caretaker) is messing with tape and her fingers are covered in blood.

3. Later SarahMichelle shows up and sees the bandaged fingers as well. Its a new plot point I believe showing that she was the one who locked Toshio in the closet.

4. During the Open House the sister hears things and finds a cat figurine in Toshio's closet as well as remnants of his drawings.

5. During the American couples first night in the house the wife hears the clatter of what she believes to be the mother but is really Toshio.

6. They show a bit of Jason Behr working and studying before a recently discharge SMG shows up at his work.

7. Ted Raimi meeting Yoko jawless in the hallway is extended and she even stretches back quite a bit to show down her throat quite a lot.

8. The Bill Pullman scene where he shows up at the house and finds Ayako's body is longer. She falls out of the closet and we stay on her for quite a while. She seems to follow him throughout the room. Her neck is making crunching noises.

9. The thumping that you hear from the hanging body in the next room reveals that Toshio is pushing his fathers feet into the wall and that's why we have the sound! I thought this visual was pretty eerie.

10. Here is what makes the uncut uncut. The father killing his family scene. He grabs Ayako and semi strips her and grabs her by the throat and in his rage twists her head to an almost 360 and it splinters and cracks as she spits blood.
The 'aaaaaaaacckkkk' sound is from her dying as her throat is distended. Toshio views the ENTIRE thing! This reveals why
he is always bug eyed when on the stairwell looking down because this is where he was sitting.

11. As SMG is saving her comatose hubby we see more of the family death. It looks as if he cuts the cats throat in the tub and then he slams its carcass against the tub walls. We then actually see Toshio being drowned. He even has a moment where he looks at his father before he dunks him in. Then there are jump cuts of where the father placed their corpses. These spots end up being where they congregate. Toshio is dead in his closet along with his mother in the attic.

12. I believe in the US version SMG yells at Jason Behr 'not to look at her'...in this version the dialogue wasnt there.
When Ayako is giving him the staredown of death.

13. In the aftermath of the fire we see a POV from SMG point of view in the ambulance as well as firefighters performing their jobs on the house.

Das es doch so viele Schnitte sind, hätte ich nicht gedacht. Hoffe Constantin Film bringt den DC auf DVD heraus!

muss leider sagen, dass ich die originale nicht kenne. kenne nur the ring und den fand ich besser. dort herschte meiner meinung nach durchweg eine gute athmosphäre. während in the grudge mehr so vier schocker-momente enthalten waren, die echt gut waren. aber sonst. die gellar sah immer so grotten schlecht in ihrer rolle aus. ich meine in bezug auf schauspielerische leistung! die hatte zwei blicke drauf: nein ich hab angst und gucke wie ein auto & oh mein gott ich bin depri und guck ins nix.... keinerlei ausstrahlung. das rülps-mädl sah auch nicht besonders prickeld aus (bezug auf horror oder grusel) wohingegen das kind einen einsamen grusel-oscar verdient hat! war gestern in hitch.... anderer thread.

Hab ihn jetzt auch mal gesehen... das Teil ist IMO auch in der Fassung nix für 13jährige. Hab zwar keine Angst gehabt, aber die Schocks saßen echt super (bin seit langem mal wieder im Kino zusammengezuckt).

Man hat allerdings gemerkt, dass die Osterferien angefangen haben, denn selbst in der 23 Uhr Vorstellung waren noch minderjähriges Mädels, die minutenlang laut gekreischt haben (so gruselig war's dann auch wieder nicht). Und irgendwie haben nur ich und die Bekannte, mit der ich drin war, bei der Szene hämisch gelacht,

Also ich kenne das orginal nicht, aber ich fand den Film schlecht... ok zugegeben die schockmomente sind echt klasse aber auch vorhersehbar und vorallendingen sehr von dem typischen "Warum läuft die schlampe auch immer zu den komischen geräuschen"-gedanken begleitet..

Die story war auch etwas seicht da hab ich den gewissen kniff vermisst. Und btw fand ich SMG hat echt mies gespielt und war imo auch fehlbesetzt...sieht immer irgendwie so larifari aus....

Meine RC1-DVD ist noch nicht da, aber in einem Imdb-Board habe ich folgende Angaben/Aussagen zur DC-DVD gefunden:

1. This DVD contains "4444444444" and "Katasumi," the original short films that started it all; Takashi Shimizu shot these two very minimalist pieces (both clock in at about 3 minutes) for a TV horror anthology special ("Gakkou No Kaidan G"). When he went on to do Ju-On: The Curse (the first full-length Ju-On film, released straight to video), he built the storyline of the film around these two shorts--in fact, one could take these two short films and drop them right in the middle of Ju-On: The Curse. I saw "Katasumi" at the premiere of Ju-On: The Grudge in L.A. last summer, and I'm elated to see that both of the shorts are finally available on DVD.

2. Deleted scenes (not reincorporated into the Extended Cut):
The Subway, Seven Years Bad Luck: extended versions of Karen and Doug's commute to school--more crowd shots, Doug tosses his cigarette away in the cemetery (despite a no littering sign; Shimizu insists he didn't mean for it to make foreigners appear rude), and a short bit about walking under a ladder that starts a recurring point (largely deleted from the film) that Karen's superstitious and more inclined to believe in the supernatural while Doug is emphatically not.
Karen Meets Emma: Karen tries to get Emma to take a steaming hot bath, but Emma is too scared of the tub, hence the towel bath she gets later on. Karen does some extra cleaning, and finds the Saeki's picture and notices the obvious fact that these weren't the Williamses.
The Bicycle: As William leaves for work, he and Jennifer notice that Yoko has left her bicycle. This solves the previously vague issue as to whether it was Yoko or Jennifer who died first.
Call an Ambulance: A bit that was lifted cleanly from the film has William running downstairs (after finding Jennifer) to look up the word "ambulance" in the dictionary so that he could call for an ambulance, before going back up to Jennifer and meeting Toshio.
"Go Away": Susan visits on that night as William, possessed by Takeo, disposes of Jennifer, kicks Susan out, and goes up to his doom--a sequence that had been in Ju-On: The Grudge but was omitted from The Grudge for time; it would've reinforced the "curse relives the original murders" concept.
The Investigation: Nakagawa asks Karen some questions before interviewing Alex.
Gruesome Discovery: Later that night, Nakagawa shows the coroner the jaw. Igarashi reports that the real estate agent is dead.
Yoko: An extended version of her scene (which initially wasn't supposed to be in the film until later on). Yoko snops around the Williams' master bedroom, enters the far room, gets spooked by some dark mass coming towards her in the hallway, gets spooked by the cat ("This cat is a very good actor," they say in the commentary) into going into the closet, and finds herself looking in the attic (in a scene that was later reshot for the final version)...and well, you know what happens.
The Hospital: Karen and Doug in another "Don't you think it's strange"/"There's a more rational explanation for this!" exchange.
Susan's apartment: After the freaky prank call, but before the bed thing, a brief bit with the kitchen sink (Toshio's hand coming out of the drain).
The Morgue: The coroner shows Nakagawa the bodies of Alex and Yoko, to tidy up the whole jawbone angle.
Karen's Apartment: More "I know what I saw!" vs. "you're friggin crazy obsessed with this" between Karen and Doug, as Doug notices the amount of research Karen's been doing on the house.
The Police Station: In a scene that establishes that the night Nakagawa goes to burn down the house is a *different* night from when Doug and Karen go there, Karen goes to the police station and, when given uneasy responses to her questions, surmises that Nakagawa and Igarashi are dead.
Flashback after the Fire: Part of the screen-tested theatrical ending, after Karen and Kayako's confrontation in the house, Karen is taken out by paramedics to an ambulance and sedated. She wakes up, however, in a "timeslip" that has her witnessing the day the Saekis happily moved into the house. This is the scene that was supposedly misleading the test audiences into thinking it was a happy ending.

3. Featurettes:
The Grudge House: An insider's tour. Someone walks around the house with a camcorder, crossfaded with scenes from the movie taking place in whatever room they're shooting in. Really fun.
The Storyboard Art of Takashi Shimizu: self-explanatory. Storyboards detailing the climactic scene in the house.
Production Designer's Notebook: self-explanatory. Some nice stuff.
SMG's Video Diary: Cute and fun. Whether you love or hate SMG or the film, you've got to admit that SMG was truly enjoying the work.
Kadee Strickland's Video Diary: Kadee shows us some sights in Tokyo.

No there is more added..7 minutes worth..yes with some more gore. Most of changes are noticable towards the end and final scenes. and also 15 deleted scenes in the special features section.

Würde mich auch interessieren, obwohl ich auch bei dem DC Code 1 schwach werden könnte, vor allem das Cover gefällt mir sehr gut!

Wie ist den die US-DVD vertont? Ich nehem mal an, nicht schlecht.

Gestern auch geschaut, fand den nicht so dolle. Ich kenne keinen einzigen Asia-Grusler, nichtmal nen "Ring" Teil - dennoch wusste ich meistens was passiert, toll. Spannung kam dann so gut wie keine auf, schwacher Film. Sind alle solche Filme so, dann kann ich es sein lassen mir noch mehr von sonem Kram zu geben. Hatte eigentlich mal angedacht mir nen "Ring" Teil anzuschauen...

Neben der Ringu Reihe ist Dark Water noch Top unter den Asia Horror Filmen. Obwohl ich bis jetzt alle Remakes mochte, sogar the Grudge. Aber wenn nur im Directors Cut.
