ZitatMetropolis Pictures Entertainment has announced by commencing principal photography for the trailer to the remake of
Wes Craven's "The Last House on the Left" that master of horror, Francis Xavier, has expressed interest in directing the
remake to the 1972 classic.

Director, Wes Craven, and producer, Sean S. Cunningham, of the original have sought as producers a visionary director
for the remake by screenwriter Mark Haslett for New Line Cinema. The trailer for Xavier's approach sticks close with the
source material by focusing on two women who venture into the big city and are kidnapped by some deranged
individuals. The murderers unknowingly seek refuge in a haunted house owned by one of their victim's parents. The NC-
17 rated trailer to the remake of "The Last House on the Left," directed by Francis Xavier and produced by Francis Xavier,
Michael R. Kureth, and JoAnn Smith, will be shown at a location to be announced and still frames from the trailer may be
seen online at http://v.metpix.com/t/lhl-trailer_still.swf.

Metropolis Pictures Entertainment is also pleased to announce the "Night Cry" television series pilot trilogy is currently
under acquisitions and has been submitted into the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. In July of 2005, Metropolis Pictures
Entertainment released information announcing Francis Xavier had died three days prior to the Maryland premiere of the
"Night Cry" television series pilot which was revealed as a hoax when the filmmaker emerged from a black body bag in
front of the screen at Baltimore's Charles Theatre before showing the film.
"Night Cry" is an original idea Francis Xavier, the show's creator and executive producer, came up with twenty years ago
for a television series on modern day horror. In early 2005, Francis Xavier and producers, Michael R. Kureth and JoAnn
Smith, who worked with the director on his previous film, "Johnny Come Lately," immediately began production on the
anthology television series, "Night Cry," an original series in the tradition of "Alfred Hitchcock's Presents" and "Twilight Zone"
along with associate producer and costume designer Gina Riley as well as associate producer and writer Brian Douglas.

In the first seven months of 2005, Francis Xavier had written, directed, and edited as well as served as the
cinematographer, camera, sound design, special effects, special make-up and symphonic orchestra design on the "Night
Cry" pilot trilogy with his episodes "Prayer for the Dead," "Last Stop Before Home," and "Coming Soon to a Neighborhood
Near You." The trailer to the "Night Cry" pilot trilogy featuring Trent Reznor's "Everyday Is Exactly the Same" from Nine
Inch Nails' 2005 album, "With Teeth," may be seen online at http://v.metpix.com/wmv/nc_trailer.htm.

Additionally, Metropolis Pictures Entertainment is pleased to announce that Francis Xavier's "Johnny Come Lately" is
currently being re-edited from black and white into color. In 2004, Francis Xavier had written, directed, produced, and
edited what has become the most anticipated motion picture shot in Baltimore. With the invaluable assistance of co-
executive producers Michael R. Kureth and Jimmie McNeal; and producer Joann Smith, Francis Xavier's "Johnny Come
Lately" has accomplished an exclusive on CBS Inside Edition, headlined in The Sun newspaper as well as Fangoria
Magazine, and had a successful premiere at The Historic Senator Theatre in August of 2004.

"Johnny Come Lately" tells the story of Paul Washington, a former serial killer profiler, who is called upon by Aberdeen City
authorities and the FBI to help track down a killer who eats children. When a series of gruesome murders occurs in the
town of Aberdeen, Detectives Jack Kelton and Michael Depasquale turn to Paul Washington to unravel this mystery. Still
grieving over the death of his newlywed wife Stephanie of two years, the tormented recluse agrees to help. As he opens
the case files, he delves deeper and deeper into the mind of the killer. When the killings become more horrifying,
Washington's mind opens lines of communication with the dead. What he sees and hears will frighten the most cynical
fan of the horror genre.

Metropolis Pictures Entertainment is looking forward to the consideration of remaking "The Last House on the Left," the
"Night Cry" pilot trilogy being accepted into the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, the color version of "Johnny Come Lately,"
completing the next volume of "Night Cry," and the acquisition of the "Night Cry" pilot trilogy.

Also ruhig bleiben :king:

ZitatVeteran genre director Wes Craven, coming off the success of his airborne thriller RED EYE and currently working on the revamping of his classic THE HILLS HAVE EYES, has a number of irons in the fire, and confirms that one is another redux of a film he wrote and directed. "We're talking about doing a remake of LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT," Craven tells Fango. "[Original producer] Sean Cunningham called me up and said, 'What about it?' So who knows? I'd find somebody [else] to direct it; I don't feel comfortable about repeating films that I've done, but it's interesting having a young director come in and do something different. Alexandre Aja really took an interesting direction on the remake of THE HILLS HAVE EYES; I believe it's going to be really good. I'd also supervise the script for LAST HOUSE, but at a certain point it's best to step back and let the director make his movie."

Wo hast du denn da nen Porno gesehen? :icon_lol:

:icon_confused:

:00000109: :icon_wink:

Zitat'The Last House on the Left' Kicks PG-13's Arse
Posted: June 26, 2007 / Source: B-D EXCLUSIVE

In a story posted here, it was revealed that the remake of The Last House on the Left was heading toward the softer side of horror with director Dennis Iliadis at the helm. Today we received word that the film, which follows a gang of rapists and murderers terrorizing a family, is in fact going to be a "hard R" and will be extremely violent. There is no intention of the film being PG-13 at this point. Watch for more news as it comes in, watch for casting news soon!

ZitatFirst Review: 'Last House on the Left' an Effective Remake?!
Posted: August 8, 2008 @ Bloody Disgusting

Last night Rogue Pictures held a very early test screening for their remake of The Last House on the Left, and from what we're told, the movie is actually pretty badass. But don't let me tell you about it, why not click here and read the first ever review for the film over at "Horror Movie a Day". LAST HOUSE is still in the testing process, which means that the final version could change drastically by the time it's released (no date has been given). The film follows John and Emma Collingwood, who are are on vacation at their lakeshore house when, by a bizarre twist of fate, they give shelter to the sociopaths who have just assaulted and nearly killed their daughter. Upon discovering the truth, they exact a chilling revenge on her attackers...

Regie: Dennis Iliadis

Darsteller: Garret Dillahunt, Sara Paxton, Martha MacIsaac, Aaron Paul, Riki Lindhome, Spencer Treat Clark, Monica Potter

Release Date: 2009

Rating: R for sadistic brutal violence including a rape and disturbing images, language, nudity and some drug use.
