hätt nicht gedacht, dass die so einen relativen Noname nehmen. In Atlantis konnt ich ihn aber gut leiden, bin mal gespannt.

Mickey Rourke Confirmed as Conan's Father

Heat Vision has confirmed a Latino Review scoop that Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2) is in negotiations to play Conan's father in Lionsgate's Conan, to be directed by Marcus Nispel.

Filming on the fantasy action adventure, in which Jason Momoa plays Conan the Barbarian and Leo Howard a younger version of the character, will start in Bulgaria on March 15th.

The story sees Conan embark on a quest to avenge the slaughter of his people.

MTV has confirmed a Latino Review scoop that Avatar star Stephen Lang will play the villain Khalar Singh in director Marcus Nispel's Conan.

-->  Rachel Nichols ist ebenfalls mit von der Partie, Mickey Rourke´s Beteiligung ist wegen "War of Gods" wohl doch nicht mehr ganz sicher...

Der Bösewicht passt super. Er hat mich schon in Avatar überzeugt und kommt richtig fies rüber.
Ansonsten habe ich noch keine großen Erwartungen an den Film und warte gespannt auf die ersten Teaser/Trailer. smile
Meine Wünsche: R-Rated, keine Wackelkamera und ein kurzer Auftritt von Arnold.

Ron Perlman to Play Conan's Dad

Vulture has learned that Ron Perlman ("Hellboy" films) has been cast in the role that almost went to Mickey Rourke - Corin, the father of Conan. Rourke will instead star in War of the Gods.

Rose McGowan Joins Conan Cast

Rose McGowan has joined Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, Ron Perlman and Said Taghmaoui in director Marcus Nispel's Conan.

McGowan will play an evil half-human/half-witch.

Filming began on Monday for the Nu Image/Millennium Films project at Nu Boyana Studios in Sofia, Bulgaria. The film will be released domestically by Lionsgate.

Der Teaser erfüllt meine Erwartungen voll und ganz. Er ist sehr nichtssagend, wirkt teilweise lächerlich und verdient den Namen Conan nicht.   :king:

Eben weil der Teaser so nichtssagend ist, will ich mir jetzt noch kein Urteil bilden (das kann man ja eigentlich sowieso erst, wenn man den eigentlichen Film sieht). Ich versuche hier erst gar nicht, den neuen "Conan" mit den alten Filmen zu vergleichen und lasse mich einfach auf ein "neues Abenteuer" ein.

O.K.! So schlecht sieht der Trailer jetzt nicht aus,aber da Nispel ja zu doof ist nen Eimer Wasser umzukippen wird er auch diesen Film total versauen.

Hoffentlich wirds nicht wieder so ein blutleeres PG13 Filmchen...
Zu Conan gehören einfach Schweiß, Dreck und Blut (wie im Original) - sonst ists nur irgendein beliebiges Kinderfilmchen.

Der Film ist auf ein klares R-Rating ausgelegt worden - und nach B- bis C-Movie-Ware sieht das nun wirklich nicht gerade aus, eher (in der Hinsicht) auf einer Höhe mit Werken á la "the Scorpion King" (Teil 1 ;) ).

Der Trailer sieht aus wie ganz viel Kampf der Titanen und etwas 300. Wobei einige Szenen so aussehen, als wären sie aus diesen Filmen entnommen worden. Unter dem Namen Conan hätte ich mir was anderes vorgestellt. Wahrscheinlich wieder ein ziemlich seelenloses Effektespektakel. Der Trailer hat mir die Vorfreude ordentlich geraubt.

Also ich finde den Trailer auch nicht schlecht...nur mit den Original-Conan-Filmen scheint er nur noch den Titel gemeinsam zu haben  ;) Aber den Conan-Darsteller finde ich absolut lächerlich.
