David E. Kelley is bringing The Lincoln Lawyer to Netflix and now we have the first trailer from the upcoming streaming adaptation of the Michael Connelly novel.

The Lincoln Lawyer, which is based on the 2008 Connelly novel "The Brass Verdict", is set to premiere on May 13, 2022, on Netflix. The series stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller, a defense attorney in Los Angeles who works out of a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Town Car rather than an office. The show also stars Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, and Christopher Gorham.

The Lincoln Lawyer was originally set up at CBS but the network didn't go through with it due to complications from the COVID-19 pandemic. They did promise a series production commitment however and at the time they decided to move forward, two scripts had been written, with two more in development. Logan Marshall-Green was also in negotiations to take on the lead role but once Netflix stepped in to pick up the show straight-to-series with ten episodes, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo was then tapped to headline the project.

The Lincoln Lawyer was previously adapted for the big screen in 2011.

Ich hab mir die Serie mal angeschaut (eig. gucke ich nur noch Mini Serien und Dokus auf Netflix) da ich gerade auch das Buch dazu gelesen habe. Ich fand die Serie schon ziemlich gut umgesetzt und auch mit den meisten Änderungen hatte ich kein Problem. Aber was ich sagen muss ist das hier extrem viel Potenzial verschenkt wurde weil man hier ein richtig gutes Crossover zu Bosch hätte machen können. Aber allein dadurch das Bosch bei Amazon ist und Lincoln Lawyer bei Netflix ist das natürlich undenkbar. Richtig schade! Trotzdem hat mir LL sehr viel Spass gemacht.

Ich bin nach der ersten Staffel durch mit dem Ding - is mir zu generisch und auf Dauer etwas langweilig
"Hör mal, du kannst mein Ding nicht Prinzessin Sofia nennen. Wenn du meinem Ding schon einen Namen geben willst, dann muss es schon was supermaskulines sein. Sowas wie Spike oder Butch oder Krull, The Warrior King, aber NICHT Prinzessin Sofia."

Staffel 2 ändert leider sehr viel an der Story und auch wieder Dinge wo ich mich frage "Warum zum Teufel?"
Also hier ist das Buch mal wieder deutlich besser, schade!
